Sitting Still Mindfulness
Everyday we take good care of our bodies by eating, bathing, and grooming ourselves. We also exercise for good health and see our doctors regularly. Yet in our culture, we walk around with flabby, sloppy brains.
Working with our minds to sharpen our attention and deepen relaxation improves our lives drastically. We can do this through daily mindfulness meditation.
Over 700 studies,* have shown that mindfulness improves health, our sense of well being, our will power, and reduces stress and anxiety.
Studies show that mediation improves worker production, reduces healthcare costs and boosts workplace morale. Mindfulness meditation lessens incidence of illness, and improved ability to recover from illness.
The Sitting Still Mindfulness Program gives participants the tools they need to learn and incorporate mediation into their daily lives. The model utilizes focal point meditation that has been practiced for centuries. It has successfully helped people in various settings, including schools, medical centers, and corporations.
While there are many different ways to engage in meditation, this experiential program is designed to maximize a practical understanding of technique, as well as to facilitate the practitioner’s ability to add meditation to their daily routine.
